Edward R. Murrow post

I have just read some stuff about this guy here and I think that he should be an idol for American journalists to follow.
Someone should try and do something in America.

Something like this maybe? Download the short vid.

A quote from Edward R. Murrow in 1954;

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty, we must remember always that accusation is not proof, and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law."

"We will not walk in fear - one, of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of un-reason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men; Not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate, and to defend causes that were - for the moment - unpopular."

He was talking around about the time of McCarthy, he could be talking about America today, where people are called unpatriotic if they criticise the administration.

I think he believed in an American dream that sounded a lot better than the shit we got now.
